Mission Codename Optima Prime Rises
Today’s Optima Wine Cellars 2012 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is, hands down, absolutely fantastic!. This Ultra QPR (Quality to Price Ratio) doozy is the best Cab we’ve tasted in some time. No kidding, this wine handily beats out some $100 Napa Cabs that we’ve tasted. Get this impressive Cab while you can…
This gorgeous wine is heady, full and dense on the nose, exuding incredible aromas including bold Bing cherry, blackberry preserve, smoky black cherry, cassis, bramble bush, cigar box, dark spices, espresso bean, black licorice, vanilla and blueberry candy.
On the palate, this Alexander Valley Cabernet explodes with flavors of blackberry jam, smoky blueberry, cassis, baker’s chocolate, leather tobacco pouch, toasted anise seed, coffee, spice box and toasted oak.
This wine is drinking beautifully now, but we can’t help but dream about how good a bottle will be 5, 10 or even 15 years from now.
