Mission Codename El Último
Welcome to the latest installment of our coveted Super Spy Sunday, a feature that is proving incredibly popular with our more discerning Operatives. Today’s selection is one of the finest Chilean wines we’ve ever featured.
Yes, today’s Santa Rita Wines 2010 Bougainville Petite Sirah is pretty incredible. It was designed to be just that.
Beginning with the 2010 vintage, Santa Rita launched its Icon series of wines. The flagship is today’s dense and delicious Petite Sirah. Santa Rita’s 41 hectares of Petite Sirah accounts for a full 22% of Chile’s total plantings of the grape. They’re committed to the varietal, and to producing stunning examples, as demonstrated by today’s fabuloso wine.
This particular Petite Sirah has an incredibly lush, full and fragrant nose. Up front, it is loaded with smoky cherry, blackberry, raspberry and plum. These are backed up by earthy bramble, cigar box, sweetwood, fine tobacco and brown spice.
The palate is dense and packed with bold flavors of blackberry jam, smoky blueberry, black raspberry, smoked cherry candy, spice box, cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, dried leaves, cocoa powder and toasty oak.
This wine is a stunning example of Petite Sirah and we hope that you partake of this very limited offer. Remember, this wine is yours at 53% off, with included ground shipping on just 4 bottles. Enjoy - and stock up!
