This dark, but super fragrant wine starts with softly smoky black cherry in the lead. A rush of aromas follow on, including blackberry, black currant, strawberry jam, licorice, Mission fig, dried cranberry, dark spice and a hint of black pepper.

On the palate you will find blackberry, black cherry and crème de cassis, quickly joined by black truffle, earth, pan-seared cherry, sweet spice, oak and cracked pepper. The finish is ultra long, with all flavors fading slowly and in equal proportion. At the very end, a hint of piquant black pepper makes the mouth water.
