Mission Codename Make some Noyes
We’ve been featuring the wines of David Noyes since 2007. Back then, David was one of the first winemakers that Agent Red got to know. David is an approachable, affable and friendly chap - just like his wines. Today’s David Noyes Wines 2012 Sonoma Valley Zinfandel is such a great wine - at a true bargain price.
This wine is fragrant and heady, with aromas of cherry pie, mulberry, sweet rose petal, cherry bark, rosewood, cigar box, soft spice and a hint of cracked pepper.
On the palate, it shows off bold and darkly jammy fruit with rich blackberry, blueberry, smoky cherry, dried cranberry, baker’s chocolate, tobacco, dried fall leaves and cracked pepper.
We hope that you stock up on this Super QPR (Quality to Price Ratio) wine. Make sure to acquire enough to have on hand as a weekday wine - but don’t hesitate to impress your guests when you pair it with a fancy celebratory meal!
