Mission Codename Ranch Life
Welcome to the Wine Spies Intrigue Awards for 2015! Each year we recognize our most popular and sought-after wines from the previous year - while giving our Operatives one final chance to secure some of the winning wines for themselves.
We may never show this wine again, so grab yours while you still can!
Today’s Rustridge 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is our Wine Spies 2015 Intrigue Awards winner for Best Hidden Gem.
Legendary winemaker Kent Rosenblum has been making ripe and delicious red wines from RustRidge’s Chiles Valley vineyard and ranch for many years under his former namesake winery.
A warm Napa Valley sub-region that’s affected by Lake Berryessa, the fruit achieves excellent ripeness while maintaining varietal precision. Their 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a dandy, but they only made 175 cases, so you need to act now. It’s young and tasty now, but has a nice decade of life ahead of it.
2010 Napa Valley Cabernet is the best vintage on record in more than a decade. Wine Spectator Magazine loved this vintage so much that they awarded it a stratospheric 99 points - making most 2010 Napa Cabs a very highly recommended buy opportunity.
