Mission Codename Bottled Sunshine
Welcome to the Wine Spies Intrigue Awards for 2015! Each year we recognize our most popular and sought-after wines from the previous year - while giving our Operatives one final chance to secure some of the winning wines for themselves.
We may never show this wine again, so grab yours while you still can!
Today’s Saddleback Cellars 2012 Pinot Blanc is our Wine Spies 2015 Intrigue Awards winner for Honorable Mention.
Nils Venge, owner and winemaker at Saddleback Cellars, is a famous dude. He’s crafted more high-scoring wines than most. In fact, Robert Parker gave one of Nils’ wines a perfect 100 point score. This made Nils the very first American winemaker to receive a 100 point score. The very first. Ever. From Robert freaking Parker, nonetheless!
Nils’ gift for crafting superior wines is apparent from first sip of today’s wonderful Saddleback Cellars 2012 Pinot Blanc. This wonderful, affordable wine is a silky smooth treat that Chardonnay lovers and Sauvignon Blanc lovers alike will adore.
Drink now and for the next several years. Saddleback reds and whites are built for aging, so be sure to keep a few bottles on hand for the next few summers and see just how well this wonderful wine evolves.
