This House of Cards 2012 Red Wine is a really impressive wine - especially when you consider the low price. This red blend is very fragrant, opulent and rich on the nose, with layers of red fruit, black fruit, earth and spice, leading with Black cherry, blackberry, red currant, cranberry, strawberry and cigar box. As the wine opens up, it unveils sweet tobacco, dried meat, spice, subtle baker’s chocolate and a very subtle hint of savory dried herbs.
Deeply flavorful, juicy and very delicious, with juicy red and black fruit that bursts forth on the palate. Black currant, raspberry, Bing cherry, strawberry and blackberry take the lead. These are followed by cranberry, cocoa powder, tobacco leaf, subtle sweet spice and a slate minerality.
