Doce Robles planted their vineyards in 1996, to Barbera, Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. Primitivo, Petite Sirah and Malbec were also planted in 2010 and 2012.
This wine wine boldly fragrant, with aromas of black cherry, smoky cherry, tobacco, cedar, toasty oak, molasses, black tea, spice and a hint of very subtle mint.
Darkly juicy and bold on the palate, with flavors of bold young blackberry, black cherry, Acerola cherry, young strawberry, dusty bramble, roasted fig, plum, black tea, hard leather, tobacco and subtle resin.
