Mission Codename Cowboys and Angels
We are thrilled today to welcome back one of our longtime favorite wineries, Galante Vineyards.
Jack Galante has graced us with his delicious Super QPR (Quality to Price Ratio) 2011 Rancho Galante Red Wine. This food friendly wine is a bright, juicy treat that will go with almost everything. Don’t miss out!
We’ve been enjoying Galante wines for more than 8 years now. We’ve been fans from our very first sip, back in 2007 when Agent Red first visited with Jack Galante and winemaker Greg Vita.
We love those guys and we love their wines.
Today’s wine is a steal. Aromas are in great balance here, with smoky cherry, strawberry, cranberry, red currant, cedar, dark rose petal, sweet spice, cigar box, toasted oak and black pepper.
Bright red fruits lead the charge onto the palate, followed by woodsy, earthy and spiced notes. Black cherry, blackberry, red plum, red currant, cedar, dried fall leaves, cigar box, subtle tobacco and cracked pepper.
Today’s 2011 Rancho Galante Red Wine is a budget-minded (and highly recommended) red blend that drinks well above its price class. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this wine. Tell us what you paired it with!
