We’ve known Jack Galante for nearly a decade now. We don’t know how he does it, but his wines just keep getting better and better.
Today’s Kick Ass Red is the winery’s little secret. We’re honored that Jack gave us this opportunity to showcase this really impressive (especially given its low price), really elegant and really delicious wine.
Heady and full on the nose, with rustic aromas of smoky black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, sweet tobacco, and bramble bush with hints of campfire and black pepper.
Absolutely delicious, bursting with flavors of concentrated black cherry, cassis, blackberry jam, smoky Bing cherry, blackberry tobacco, subtle smoky cedar and white pepper.
Very highly recommended!
Dark sanguine hues, from the slightly opaque core, to the seemingly glowing garnet edges.
Smoky black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, sweet tobacco, and bramble bush with hints of campfire and black pepper.
Concentrated black cherry, cassis, blackberry jam, smoky Bing cherry, blackberry tobacco, subtle smoky cedar and white pepper.
Ultra-long and very plush. Gradually drying, as dark fruits give way to smoky flavors, minerals and pepper.
Enjoy this budget-priced steal of a wine with… something fancy! This wine is so good that it would pair well with nearly anything. From filet mignon to backyard burgers, this wine is a fantastic companion for most meats.
