Mission Codename Saddleback again
Hop back on the saddle with today’s delicious, elegant, fresh, Saddleback Cellars 2013 Napa Valley Chardonnay.
This wine was made by America’s first 100 point winemaker, Nils Venge. We’ve been showcasing his wines for nearly a decade - because they’re so superb.
Today’s budget friendly Chardonnay is limited, so reserve yours soon.
Lush and full on the nose, with Lemon, lime flower, acacia, pineapple, sweet cedar, lychee, green melon, vanilla custard and sweet oak.
Full, softly buttery and dense on the palate, with bright Meyer lemon, lemon curd, kafir lime, vanilla, subtle white spice, oak, and orange blossom. This is a soft, balanced and approachable wine with plenty of flavor and character.
We really adore the wines of Saddleback. It is rare that we feature their white wines, so today’s Saddleback Chardonnay is a special treat for us.
The last time we featured a Saddleback wine, we sold out. Quantity is limited this time around, so be sure to reserve yours - before we sell out.

What the wine press has to say
Best of Class winner - San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2015
91 points - Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast - “A creamy, unctuous white with a tease of waxy apple, cheese rind and tropical pear, this fuller-bodied expression of the grape takes on generous layers of caramel and ginger as it goes. It finishes in a long, lingering celebration of brioche and allspice.”
