Mission Codename Black Suit, Red Ty
Ty Caton Vineyards 2014 Ty’s Red is an ultra QPR marvel that delivers a drinking experience well above its price class. The value is impressive… and the wine is even more impressive.
This big, bold, ready to drink wine is great now and it will only continue to improve over the next several years.
This blend of 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Syrah, 27% Merlot, 8% Petite Verdot, and 5% Petite Sirah is sweet and full on the nose, with loads of red and black fruit. Black cherry, blackberry jam, smoky blueberry, cassis, sweet mixed spice, toasty oak and a hint of black currant.
On the palate, this balanced blend is complex and sophisticated, with bold, dark fruits, spice and earthen elements all playing together to make for one balanced treat. Blackberry and blueberry jam lead the way. These are followed by cassis, spice box, cigar, raisin, flinty earth and black pepper.
Fans of this highly recommended wine are sure to snap it up in short order. If you have any questions about this wine - or any that we carefully curate for our Operatives - please contact us.
