Mission Codename Herculean
We’re thrilled to welcome back one of our favorite winemakers of 2016, Derek Rohlffs. We first became acquainted with Derek last year, when we showcased his Bravium and Chardonnais wines. This year, we also featured his smash hit Chez Blanc label.
All of Derek’s wines are special, but it is his Formidable Cabernet Sauvignon that our Operatives really go crazy over.
Today’s Formidable Wines 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the 2009 vintage, which Robert Parker awarded a stellar 94 point score. Come and see what all of the fuss is about. Steal a few bottles of this great, Formidable (and highly recommended) wine, in the process.
This wine has really lively aromatics, with fresh black plum, cassis, Mission fig, rhubarb, dried fall leaves, bramble, and sweet spice.
Juicy and bold of flavor, with black cherry juice, plum, mineral rich earth, dried leaves, dark tobacco leaf, dusty bramble, mixed spice and red currant, with a subtle hint of dried herbs.
Enjoy… but be quick! The last time we featured a Formidable Cabernet, we sold out in short order.
