Mission Codename Supersonic
Today’s Miro Cellars 2014 Orsi Vineyard Pinot Noir is the best Pinot we’ve tasted from winemaker Miro Tcholakov. This wine is complex -but it is also simultaneously very approachable, lively and happy.
Drink some and you’ll taste that Miro magic that keeps us coming back for more of his fantastic wines.
So, what is his secret? Agent Red says: “I wish that I could pin it on one aspect of his winemaking. What I do know is that Miro works with the finest vineyard sources, while sparing no expense when it comes to his barrel selections or the myriad other choices he makes in crafting his wines… which I always just adore.”
You’ll adore today’s wine, too, dear Operative. This single vineyard Pinot Noir is brilliant and lively on the nose, with complex and pleasing aromas of bright Bing cherry, black tea, wild strawberry, cranberry, river rock, dried rose petals, creamy vanilla and a hint of earthy spice.
Complex on the palate, with tart cherry, warm spice, dried cranberry, young blackberry, young strawberry, river rock, dry forest floor, dried mushroom and a hint of white pepper.
Very highly recommended.
