Mission Codename Hartford of Gold
We have a very special wine for you, today!
This delicious, juicy, Hartford Family Winery 2013 Russian River Valley Old Vine Zinfandel is a 93 point wine that Antonio Galloni calls “…pretty much impossible to resist”.
Our allocation is small, so please be sure to reserve yours soon.
This very highly recommended wine hails from the family-owned Hartford Winery, in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Hartford has been making Old Vine Zinfandel (their speciality) in the RRV since 1994.
They make what they call high personality wines which spring from high adversity vineyards, or those that are difficult to farm. The combination of old vines, plus difficult vineyard locations, lack of water and skilled winemaking all culminate in wines that deliver “character through adversity”.
This wine is very aromatic, leading off with a rush of pleasing aromas including blackberry jam, black cherry, spice box, raspberry candy, cocoa, cedar, toasty oak, plum and black pepper.
On the palate, the wine is juicy and bursting with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, smoky blueberry, black cherry, tobacco, cigar box, soft spice, toasty oak, vanilla and baker’s chocolate.
Enjoy!

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 Points - Antonio Galloni’s Vinous - “The 2013 Zinfandel Russian River Valley is an attractive, boisterous wine to drink now and over the next few years. Dark red cherry, raspberry, spice and mint inform the juicy finish. The 2013 is gracious, inviting and pretty much impossible to resist.”
