Mission Codename Beautiful place
Did you drink up all of your wine over the holiday weekend? We have the cure this week, starting with today’s rather incredible wine, the Beaulieu Vineyard 2010 Reserve Tapestry Red Blend.
Like fireworks in your mouth, this wine provides exciting explosion after explosion of rich, juicy flavor. Limited quantity, so reserve yours soon.
A rush of fresh berries, jam, wood, spice and earthy notes greet you on the nose with aromas of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, mixed berry preserve, sweet spice, chocolate covered cherry, toasty oak, vanilla and subtle black pepper.
The palate bursts forth with bold, juicy flavors of blackberry jam, smoky black cherry, black raspberry, strawberry, spice box, baker’s chocolate, toasted oak, subtle tobacco leaf and cracked peppercorn.
The mouthfeel is smooth, silky and oh so elegant!
The historic Beaulieu Vineyard winery was founded in 1900 by Georges de Latour. The name of the winery was coined when his wife, Fernande Latour, first saw the land that became their original Rutherford vineyard. Upon seeing the site, she declared it to be “beau lieu,” or “beautiful place.”
Goerges de Latour founded Beaulieu Vineyard with the vision of “making Napa Valley wines that would rival those of his native France.” Well, mission accomplished, George. Your finer wines are some of the best, anywhere.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
90 points - Wine Spectator - “Glides along, offering an alluring mix of dense, dark blueberry, melted black licorice, grippy loamy earth and tannins that give the flavors traction. Impressive on the finish. This will appeal to those who like to chew on their reds. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2022.”
