Mission Briefing
I'll tell you a secret...
Welcome to another Super Spy Sunday! Remember, every Sunday we bring you an elite-level wine - at an incredible price. And look what I’ve found for you, today, dear Operative….
Today’s Liquid Sky 2009 Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was made by Timothy Milos, the incredibly talented former winemaker for Opus One and Stag’s Leap and Cliff Lede.
This wine is bold, elegant, dense and delicious. It is an astonishingly well-made wine that hails from a hillside vineyard in the coveted Moon Mountain AVA.
The aromatics are through the roof, with dusky, concentrated aromas that leap from the glass. Bold black cherry, blackberry, cranberry and alpine strawberry lead the charge, followed by licorice, pie spice, cigar box, cocoa powder, dried fall leaves and black pepper.
On the palate, this wine is rich and concentrated with bold flavors of Blackberry juice, black cherry, black currant, spice box, tobacco leaf, European black licorice, and black pepper.
Hurry, please… Today’s Ultra QPR (Quality to Price Ratio) wine will not last the day.
Tasting Profile
