Mission Codename Ride On!
Saddleback, headed by America’s first 100 point winemaker, Nils Venge, holds the distinction of being one of our very best-selling wineries. Their 2013 Napa Chardonnay was one of our best-selling white wines of all time.
Today, we’re very proud to be featuring the winery’s 2014 Napa Valley Chardonnay, a wine that is so good that it may not last the day.
Fragrant and alluring on the nose, with aromas of lemon curd, Granny Smith apple, Bartlett pear, toasted oak, lemon zest, caramel and a hint of hazelnut.
A wave of delicious flavors spill on to the palate, with lemon curd, custard, lime zest, green apple, pear, lightly toasted oak, apricot, almond and subtle white spice.
The finish? Very dynamic with sweet fruit flavors that first coat the entire palate - before slowly, easily, fading to reveal a lovely toasted nut and soft spice character.
Uber good, and very highly recommended.
