Mission Briefing
Hello, Merlot...
Welcome to our Super Spy Sunday where, each Sunday, we showcase an extraordinary higher-end wine - at a really great price.
Today, we are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to enjoy another wonderful wine from our good friends at Grand Napa, their juicy, elegant, delicious Grand Napa Wine 2011 Reserve Merlot.
Sweet aromas are first to greet the nose, with cranberry juice, raspberry juice, and Bing cherry. These are followed by red currant, strawberry, sweet spice, chocolate, and darkly toasted oak.
On the palate, the wine starts with a juicy cascade of Bing cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, followed closely by black licorice, wet river rock, India black tea leaf, mixed spice and a hint of cracked pepper.
This is a very food-friendly wine that our entire tasting panel went nuts for. We love this wine - and we know that you will too.
Remember, we offer FREE Temperature-Controlled shipping during the hot summer months. Add optional ice packs if your local area is hot, and your wine will arrive in great condition!

Tasting Profile
Look: | Darkest garnet with an even darker heart. Translucent through and through, just really dark. Tightly-spaced legs meander slowly down the glass wall. |

Smell: | Cranberry juice, raspberry juice, Bing cherry, red currant, strawberry, sweet spice, chocolate, and darkly toasted oak. |
Taste: | Bing cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, black licorice, wet river rock, India black tea leaf, mixed spice and a hint of cracked pepper. |
Finish: | Starts juicy and bright, then, as grippy tannins take hold, lovely earthen flavors of tea, spice and pepper emerge, riding on the palate for a very long time. |
Pairing: | Merlot is famously food friendly, and this lovely example is no exception. Enjoy with grilled meats, pasta dishes, chicken dishes and more. |
