Mission Codename The Purple Beast
Welcome, Operative! We have a very very special wine for you, today. After a lengthy hiatus from our pages, Bugay Vineyards is back with their stupendous 2009 Zinfandel.
This wine was born at 1000 feet elevation, in the winery’s pristine Mayacamas Mountains vineyard and is wicked fantastic!
Very aromatic, with aromas of Santa Rosa plum, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry dusty bramble, cocoa nib, dried maple leaf, tobacco leaf, sweet spice and black pepper.
This wine bursts with juicy goodness, with flavors of blackberry jam, black cherry candy, raspberry juice, cranberry, spice box, subtle cedar, bramble, dark chocolate and subtle graphite and subtle cracked pepper.
Bugay has not graced our pages for a few years because they don’t make huge quantities of their wines. Instead, they focus on crafting small lots of the finest wines possible. Their mountainside vineyards feature rocky soil and a microclimate where ripening perfection is achieved each year.
If you have not had the great good fortune to sample a Bugay wine, this is your chance to taste one of our very favorite Zinfandels, at a price that’ll allow you to stock up!
Remember, we offer FREE Temperature-Controlled shipping during the hot summer months. Add optional ice packs if your local area is hot, and your wine will arrive in great condition!
