Greetings Operative! Today’s very special Chardonnay was made by Lars Bjorkman, winemaker at Saddleback Cellars and his wife, Molly Hill, winemaker at Sequoia Grove Winery.

This potent pairing was the catalyst for the spectacular wine that is today’s offering.

Today’s Grow Wines 2013 Ruhl Vineyard, Mt. Veeder Chardonnay is a silky, flavor-packed wine that displays all of the character and finesse that you’d expect from these prolific winemakers.

Lively and full on the nose with aromas of baked apple, dried apricot, white peach, pineapple, nectarine, dried white flowers and creamed honey.

Flavors coat the palate with a rich layer of yellow peach, Meyer lemon, pineapple, dried apricot, subtle white spice, creamed honey and lemon curd.

The Ruhl Vineyard, where this wine was born, is located to the south of the town of Yountville, in the southern most part of the Yountville AVA. This is one of the Napa Valley’s cooler growing regions, making it particularly well suited to Chardonnay.
