Today’s Orentano 2011 R. Buoncristiani Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is an Ultra QPR (Quality to Price Ratio) wine that is elegant and loaded with that Pinot Noir character that has made the Russian River Valley the spot for Cali Pinots.
Quantity is limited, so reserve yours while you can.
Shy on opening, then the wine really opens up, revealing aromas of black cherry, cherry bark, blackberry, black currant, red currant, subtle leather, cedar, dried earth and a hint of dark chocolate.
The elegant texture of the wine provides silky transport of rich flavors of black cherry, black currant, blackberry, Alpine strawberry, leather, soft cedar and just a hint of baker’s chocolate.
This very highly recommended wine hails from the historic R. Buoncristiani Vineyard (which neighbors Operative-favorite Martinelli Winery), the darling of Robert Parker and Antonio Galloni, who consistently rate R. Buoncristiani Pinots in the mid 90s.
Remember, we offer FREE Temperature-Controlled shipping during the hot summer months. Add optional ice packs if your local area is hot, and your wine will arrive in great condition!
