2013 Sonoma County Pinot Noir
California: Sonoma County
Today’s Canihan 2013 Sonoma County Pinot Noir hails from what was widely recognized as one of the best vintages on record for Sonoma Pinot Noir.
This Pinot Noir is velvet smooth and rich of flavor, with aromas that’ll keep your nose glued to your goblet.
We’ve been featuring the wines of Bill Canihan for the last 7 years, and we’ve always been very impressed. Today’s wine ranks as Bill Canihan’s most elegant wine that we’ve yet to feature.
This Pinot is super soft on entry and ultra delicious with flavors that transport to the far corners of the palate - where they linger for a very long time.
Lush and full on the nose, bursting with fresh cherry juice followed by raspberry, strawberry, dried violet, dried orange peel, subtle spice, river rock and a touch of sweet oak.
Dark and very flavorful on the palate, with cherry compote, black cherry preserve, blackberry, and red currant. These are closely followed by dark chocolate, subtle dark spice and a hint of cedar.
Please accept this wonderful wine with the full weight of our recommendation. We love it!
Deep, dark garnet with a thin band of ruby at the meniscus.

Velvet smooth, from start to delicious conclusion. Flavors linger on the palate for longer than one would normally take to enjoy another delicious sip of this wonderful Pinot Noir.
We’ll enjoy ours with a pork roast with crust of fresh fennel and garlic.
