Mission Codename Make it Big
Are you ready to be very impressed?
Today’s Rowley Estates 2013 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is, without a doubt, the best Knight’s Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that we’ve ever tasted! This is a spare-no-expense wine at a price that you’d be crazy to pass up.
Very limited, so act quickly.
This wine is even better than most Napa Cabernet Sauvignons in the same price class. No kidding. That good.
On the nose, this wine is dark and bold, with balanced aromas of black cherry, leather, summer forest, boysenberry jam, cigar box, sweet mixed spice, cassis and baker’s chocolate.
A silky entry transports bold, dark flavors all across the palate, with bold black cherry, blackberry preserve, cassis, leather, spice box, bramble, dried fall leaves, cocoa powder and black pepper.
Winemaker Chris Taddei (SuperSonoman, Hensteeth) was fortunate to work with some of the finest Knight’s Valley fruit from the Rowley Estate vineyard. Rowley spared no expense in meticulously caring for the hillside vineyard. Barrel selection was easy, choose the best.
This is a spare-no-expense wine at a price that you’d be crazy to pass up. And here’s a sweetener for you: Free Ground Shipping included on 4 or more bottles - though we don’t see why anyone would buy less than a case.
What’s the catch? There isn’t very much of it, so act quickly.
Drink now (decant for best results) and enjoy over the next 10 to 15 years. This wine will only improve (hard to believe!) with a few years of bottle aging.
Here’s what the wine press has to say:
94 points - “Sommelier to the Stars” Christopher Sawyer - “Made with premium grapes from Knights Valley, this elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot immediately stimulates the senses with lofty aromas of fresh berries, wild herbs, dark chocolate fudge, and roasted nuts.
On the palate, the deep flavors of ripe blackberry, blueberry, roasted fig, tea leaves, and black currant are enhanced with integrated layers of spice, licorice, vanilla, and black walnut. With velvety texture, silky tannins and a long finish, it’s a wine that becomes more sophisticated, generous and fulfilling until the last sip.
Food pairings: Pasta with shaved black truffle, gourmet sausage, seared duck breast, rare grilled meats, slow-roasted rack of lamb, tangy cheeses, bittersweet chocolate with berries.”
