Mission Codename The Fortunate One
Balance. Balance. Balance.
Today only, we’re very proud to be featuring the superbly balanced Bravium 2013 Signal Ridge Vineyard Mendocino Ridge Pinot Noir. This wine is such a joy to drink, all the way from its silky entry, through to the undeniably long and elegant finish.
Our tasting panel went bonkers for this truly wonderful wine - and many members of the panel begged to be allowed to purchase a case or two. Mean old Agent Red wouldn’t let them, declaring that “…our Operatives have first dibs!”
Rich and beautifully balanced on the nose, with black cherry, blackberry, black raspberry and black currant intertwined with forest floor, wild mushroom, subtle oak, soft spice and a hint of flinty minerality.
On the palate, initial flavors are bright and juicy, with black cherry, blackberry juice, raspberry, strawberry and red currant. Then, it quickly takes a wonderful turn towards earthy and layered, with sweet cedar, forest floor, dried mushroom, oak and subtle dark spice.
We’ve really come to love the wines of Derek Rohlffs. Our Operatives are crazy about them too. If you haven’t tasted one of Derek’s wines, this very highly recommended wine is the best that we’ve shown to date.
We guarantee that you’ll love it - or we’ll buy it back.
Cheers!

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 points, Cellar Selection - Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast - “This polished and harmonious wine has a very deep color showing a ruby hint at the rim. It shows effusive dark cherry and rhubarb aromas, with a sleek texture backed by vibrant acidity.
Sophisticated fruit flavors echo red cherry and cranberry, combining a nice tartness with ripeness. Balanced to the lean side and very well structured, it will be best after 2017.”
