The Sacred Place
The Bien Nacido Vineyard, on California’s Central Coast, was named one of the Top 25 vineyards in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine.
It was Food & Wine Magazine that called the vineyard one of the Ten best vineyards.
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator Magazine and Wine Enthusiast Magazine routinely award 90+ point scores to wines made from Bien Nacido Vineyard fruit.
Bien Nacido is the birthplace of high-scoring, high-dollar wines from Gary Farrell Winery, Longoria, Sine Qua Non, Au Bon Climat, Ojai Vineyard, Paul Lato and Twomey, to name just a few.
If you’ve ever had a Bien Nacido Pinot Noir, you’re probably not even reading these words. You’ve probably already pushed the big red buy button and are on your way to securing a case or two - before we run out.

This delicious cool-climate Pinot Noir delivers an elegant, food-friendly drinking experience that will have you taking long inhalations, long before you take that first bright, delicious sip.
Lush and fragrant, with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, black tea, twigs, black cherry, subtle spice, toasty oak and a hint of dried herb.
Round and full on the palate, with a cascade of flavors, including black cherry compote, blackberry reduction, summer forest, dried maple leaf, toasty oak, tart cherry and a hint of dried herbs.
Dennis Martin, the Director of Winemaking at Fetzer Vineyards, started with the best Bien Nacido fruit, and spun it into fine liquid gold.
Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 points - Matt Kettmann , Wine Enthusiast - “Winemaker Dennis Martin puts grape grower Stephen Miller’s signature on this wine, a nod to the importance of this historic vineyard. The wine shows bright strawberry and raspberry with touch of savory wood smoke as well as hibiscus-laced pastry and a pinch of thyme.
Earthy sagebrush and wild herb flavors frame the palate, where cooked cherries and cranberries are spiced by cardamom and dried ginger spice.”
