Mission Codename Let's bee friends!
Wine Spies Operatives can always be counted on to bring the perfect bottle of wine to a holiday party. This Pinot Noir from Meadowcroft is the one for all the season’s festivities from Mission White Elephant to Mission Eve At The In-Law’s. It is oh-so drinkable and sure to be the star of the show.
Beautiful crystal clarity with even scarlet color from edge to edge. Hibiscus and red fruit greet your nose up front. Aroma becomes more complex as a nuttiness and mild tobacco notes are revealed. Fresh strawberry jam and candied violets make for a thoroughly enjoyable nose. Plum, pomegranate are the dominant flavors and towards the finish sour cherry and quince become more distinct. Nectarine and tangerine are left on the palate long after the wine is swallowed. Drinks like a classic Sonoma Coast, cool weather Pinot Noir: Medium-bodied and exceptionally smooth, perfectly carries the weight of the acid to an elegant finish that evenly coats the palate until is slowly dissipates. This is an exceptional Pinot Noir for a classic holiday meal. Serve during the main course with the ham and turkey!
