Maroon and the stars
Maroon Wines is back, with 53% off on their elegant, fresh, delicious 2013 Reserve Rutherford Chardonnay. This wine is crisp, fresh and loaded with authentic Rutherford character.
If you’ve never tasted Maroon’s stellar white wines, or white wines from Rutherford, this is the one to try!
For such a lightly colored wine, this lovely Chardonnay exudes very rich aromas. These include Creme brûlée, lemon tart, dried lemon peel, toasted cedar, caramel and subtle white spice.
Wow!, what a rich and delicious palate. Flavors abound, with lemon custard, toasted sugar, lime leaf, Meyer lemon, sweet cedar, mixed white spice, lychee, Asian pear, oak and a hint of white pepper.
Enjoy with a great many pairings, from appetizers to more complex and hearty meals. We’ll be enjoying ours with a Jamon Iberico, or a nice roasted chicken, with root veggies and plenty of garlic.
This wine is very highly recommended.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
90 points - Beverage Testing Institute - “Bright garnet black color. Delicate baked, fruity, jammy aromas of cassis soufflé, vanilla buttercream, delicate spiced nougat, and dried fruits with a velvety, vibrant, dryish medium-to-full body and a tingling, complex, medium-long salty roasted nuts and root vegetables, cedar bark, cherry cola, and dried meat finish with fine, well-integrated tannins and moderate oak.
A supple, mellow, meaty cabernet that will pair brilliantly with beef dishes.”
