Today’s Hindsight Wines 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was made by 40 year veteran winemaker, Jac Cole, who was winemaker for Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars in the Napa Valley, and later at Stags’ Leap Winery, (yes, both) in Napa.

Jac later went on to make wines for the boutique Spring Mountain Vineyards, Charles Krug, Cliff Lede and, of course, Hindsight.

Hindsight wines is a collaboration between four (very interesting!) people that collectively have over 75 years of wine industry experience. Their goal of producing value-priced wines that deliver a high-end drinking experience is validated in today’s darkly rich, juicy-delicious Napa Cabernet.

This wine is very vibrant and aromatic on the nose, with black cherry, blackberry jam, spice box, red licorice, red currant, mocha, vanilla and toasty oak.

On the palate, this wine is bold and very powerful, with flavors of blackberry jam, black cherry, baker’s chocolate, tobacco leaf, dusty briar patch, dark spice and cracked pepper.
