The wines of Romeo Vineyards have always been wildly popular with our Operatives. Their wines deliver elegance, classic Napa Valley character and value!

Today’s Romeo Vineyards 2013 Sempre Vive Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a newly released wine that really took us by surprise. We loved this young wine so much that we bought up every case that the winery would part with.

We’re used to older vintages from this staple winery, so when we got our hands on today’s 2013 vintage, we were excited to take a deep dive into it. Ok, not literally, but we did spend a great deal of time with it.

The more we sipped and swirled, the more details came to light. This wine is loaded with flavors and bursting with balanced aromas.

Dusty and ripe on the nose, with balanced aromas of dusty black cherry, blackberry, cassis, black licorice, chalky mineral, briar patch, cherry bark and mixed dark spice.

On the palate, this wine is juicy, dark and delicious with fresh blackberry juice, black cherry, savory spice, grilled cherry, grilled plum, briar patch, toasty oak and a hint of black pepper.

We’re loving this wine now, but we can’t wait to see how it evolves over the next ten or more years.
