Mission Codename Zinful
Today only we have a special allocation of a delicious 91 point Zin from Scott Harvey Wines, the 2011 Old Vine Reserve Zinfandel.
Previous vintages of this wine have always been best-sellers with our Operatives and today’s wine is expected to set a new record. Today’s wine is very highly recommended.
Bright and fresh on the nose, with Bing cherry, rose petals, cedar, berry bramble, soft leather, sweet spice, Alpine strawberry, and summer forest.
On the palate, this wine bursts with black cherry, young strawberry, red currant, pomegranate, bramble bush, pomegranate, sweet cedar and black pepper.
Amador County Zinfandels are some of our favorites, and nobody does an Amador Zin better than Scott Harvey. This is the sixth successive vintage of this great wine - and we look forward to many more.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
91 points, Gold Medal, Exceptional - Beverage Testing Institute - “Medium ruby color. Interesting aromas of pistachio gelato, dried cherries, flavored honey, and clay with a silky, tangy, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, delightful, medium-length raspberry, apple skin, and cocoa finish with silky tannins and light oak. An exceptionally balanced and claret-like Zinfandel.”
