Located along the romantic route along Hwy 128 heading towards the beautiful coastlands of Mendocino County, this lovely region is laced with Pinot Noir vineyards influenced by warm days, cool nights, and maritime breezes that blow in from the Pacific Ocean less than seven miles away.

Resting at 1,800 feet along the ridgetop at the northern end of the valley, Roma’s Vineyard is one of the most pristine sites in the region. To preserve the purity of the limited amount of fruit he gets from this special vineyard, winemaker Dylan Sheldon of Sheldon Wines prefers to use no new oak and bottle the finished wine unfined and unfiltered. From the moment the cork is popped the wine is engaging, with lively aromas of red berries, fresh herbs and spice. On the palate, the flavors expand with tangy notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, plum, dried blueberry, white pepper, rose hips, sage, and mineral. With just 13.5% alcohol, this medium to full-bodied wine is nicely balanced with plenty of fruit, vibrant acidity, and a long spicy finish.
