Mission Codename Lover's Leap
When our friends at Clif Family Winery offered us every last bottle of their delicious 2013 Napa Valley Petite Sirah, we sprang at the opportunity.
Our Operatives love Petite Sirah, and they adore the wines of Clif. One taste of today’s elegant, delicious treat will tell you why.
Grab yours soon, though, quantity is limited.
Today’s wine is an inky, dark and elegant wine that shows plenty of character… but also real poise. This is a very balanced Petite that delivers elegance and dark fruit on the palate.
On the nose, the wine is lively and inviting. Fragrant but austere at first, then the wine really opens up to reveal aromas of blackberry jam, cassis, pencil shavings, subtle cigar box, violets, jelly donut, and cinnamon, with hints of oak and black pepper.
Bright and soft on the palate, with flavors that increase in intensity as the wine rests on the palate. Flavors of blackberry, black cherry, cassis, black licorice, spiced blackberry candy, subtle spice and soft oak.
The only thing we could ask for is more.
This limited-availability (and highly recommended) wine will likely sell out - so please make your purchase soon.
