Mission Codename Now lookee here, son...
As you well know, we love the wines of Meadowcroft. When we learned that associate winemaker, Nicholas Hess, had his own label, we leapt at the chance to try some for ourselves.
Guess what? We fell in love with Nick’s stunning (and, if you ask us, underpriced) Leghorn Wine 2014 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. This wine delivers elegance, lush aromatics and a depth of flavor that our Pinot-loving Operatives seem to love best.
Aromas abound, with fresh cherry juice, strawberry and raspberry, with sweet oak, subtle pie spice, subtle dried mushroom and a hint of twig.
Super delicious on the palate, with a rush of raspberry, Bing cherry, wild strawberry and soft young blackberry up front. These are closely followed by softly toasted oak, vanilla, wild mushroom and subtle dried earth.
If you love great pinot - at a really fabulous price - today’s wine won’t let you down!
