Mission Codename Gone to heaven
Happy Super Spy Sunday, Operatives!
We have another stellar Library Raid wine from our friends at Romeo Vineyards for you, today. Their Romeo Vineyards 2008 Sempre Vive Napa Valley Petit Verdot is one delicious, beautifully aged and carefully cellared treat that will continue to thrill you for years to come.
Ultra dark and inviting on the nose, with layered aromas of black plum, blackberry jam, cherry tobacco leaf, sweet spice, seared blueberry, baked red apple, leather and dark mineral.
On the palate, this wine is flavorful, with juicy dark blackberry, plum, blueberry preserve, blueberry tobacco, mixed spice, cassis, European black licorice, dried black rose petal, violets, flinty mineral, toasted oak, and a delightful hint of dried sage.
Romeo Vineyards produced their first vintage in 1997. Since that time, the already old Cabernet Sauvignon vines have matured, and so too has the winery’s winemaking skills.
