We’ve been showcasing the wines of Pine Ridge Vineyards since back in 2009. We adore their wines, which have always been tremendous hits with our Operatives.
Today’s Pine Ridge Vineyards 2013 Carneros, Napa Valley, Dijon Clone Chardonnay is one of the best wines that we’ve ever showcased from this fantastic winery. This wine is lush, full and super-duper delicious.
Aromas jump from the glass to greet you on the nose, happy aromas of lemon curd, candied pear, yellow peach, honeysuckle, fresh croissant, orange blossom and very subtle sweet spice.
Flavors glide onto the palate, coating from edge to edge with rich flavors of lemon curd, yellow peach, pear, Meyer lemon, lemon custard, vanilla, fresh baked bread, super subtle sweet spice.
We snapped up every last case that we could get our hands on, but this wine is expected to sell out, regardless. Please be quick and reserve some of this very highly recommended wine for yourself - before we sell out for good.
Here’s what the wine press has to say:
90 points - Wilfred Wong - “More than the sum of its parts, the 2013 Pine Ridge Dijon Clone Chardonnay shows more than just up-front fruit, it reaches deep into the earth’s core and brings forth the true worth of the varietal.
Pair with grilled pork chops with an accent of diced jalapenos. Medium straw color; heady, savory aroma, golden delicious apple, fine depth; medium bodied, well-knit on the palate, dry, light core fruit and quite a bit of dried earth and savory flavors; medium finish.”
Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast - “This is a pretty wine in terms of floral aromatics, resplendent shocks of orange blossom and orange peel inviting in their exotic freshness. Lime and orange follow on the palate, which is bristling in acidity, the finish light and bright.”
Medium golden hues with gemlike clarity from core to edge.

Extra long and very pleasing, initially creamy and buttery, then gradually drying and lightly plush. At the very end, lemon custard and sweet spice linger on and on, very gradually tailing off.
Enjoy with a kale and quinoa salad with bite sized chunks of adobo seasoned pork tenderloin. Or any fish or fowl dish. Or cheeses and fruits. Or….
