We have a special treat for you today, the budget-priced, Super QPR Giocato Wines 2010 Merlot.
This wine is an easy-drinking, food-friendly delight that delivers a great deal of value at just $12.99. You’ll want to keep plenty on hand for those weeknight spaghetti dinners!
Bramble berries abound!! Strawberry and raspberry as if they are still on the vine. Soft notes of vanilla and a hint of rose petals. So soft and velvety! Round and light and eminently quaffable while beckoning to be matched with lunch or dinner!
If you love Italian Merlot, this is everything you could hope for. This wine is at it’s peak and it should be great for another year or more. It’s got a few years in the bottle, has fully integrated and softened up perfectly.
Super easy to drink and goes great with food, this wine is a bit shy and reserved out of the bottle. Give it a chance to open up though, and it really springs to life!
A ridiculously great value, but act fast, because with only a limited availability, it won’t last long!
Tasting Profile
Look: | Perfect garnet and deep ruby like you’d expect from a fresh Merlot. Wine coats the glass, coalescing into thick, ropey legs. |
---|---|
Smell: | Bramble berries, strawberry, raspberry, dried wild mushroom, soft notes of vanilla, leather and a hint of rose petals. |
Taste: | Dark cherry juice, strawberry, smoky cherry, cedar, soft spice, subtle leather, and black pepper, with hints of graphite and soft oak. |
Finish: | Soft and easy, just like the first sip. The finish is clean and light - and makes you want another sip! |
Pairing: | Nicely compliments pork, venison and beef dishes, grilled vegetables and medium mature cheeses. |
