Mission Codename King Silver
Today’s Coho Wines 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was made by Phillip Corallo-Titus, who has led winemaking for Chappellet, Stratford and Cartlidge and Brown wineries.
This Coho Cabernet is one of the most rich, dark and dense Cabs we have tasted in a very long time. Dark mixed fruit melds with earthy goodness, dried beef and sweet black pepper. The plush feel and ripe tannins give the wine an elegant overall feel.
This wine leads with a beautifully fragrant nose of balanced, lush aromas of plum, smoked beef, grilled fig, smoky black cherry, dark mixed spice, black licorice, subtle tar and black pepper.
Flavors closely mimic the palate, with plum, grilled fig, grilled cherry, smoked blueberry, dark spice, black licorice, dark toasted oak, cured meats and black pepper .
Very highly recommended.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 points - James Suckling - “Aromas that suggest licorice and eucalyptus. Fresh and full-bodied with beautiful tension and balance between the fruit, tannins and the acidity. Tightly knit. Better in 2018.”
~
90 points - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate - “The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon might be the best of the Coho wines. The wine has a deep ruby/purple color, rich cassis fruit, good acidity, purity and ripeness. This is impressive, medium to full-bodied and well-made. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.”
~
Antonio Galloni / Vinous - “This is one of the more open-knit, voluptuous wine(s) of the year…Readers looking for immediate gratification will find plenty of that here.”
