Mission Codename A long walk
Today’s wine is a very special treat, Operative!
Wines from the 99 point 2010 Napa Cabernet Vintage are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Wines like today’s Alioto Pier Vineyards 2010 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon are nearly impossible to find.
Today’s wine is classy and elegant, with powerful fruit, plush tannins and a gorgeous nose that’ll have you inhaling this wine for a long spell, before you finally succumb to its charms - and take a mind-blowingly delicious sip.
Incredibly aromatic, with spiced blackberry, black cherry, strawberry tobacco, dried fall leaves, spice box, dark oak, dark chocolate, espresso bean, dark spice and cracked peppercorn.
On the palate, this wine is dark and sensuous, with flavors of stewed blackberry, plum preserve, black cherry, grilled plum, grilled fig, tobacco, spice, bramble, dark spice and a hint of pencil shavings.
Alioto Pier planted their small Rutherford vineyard in 1995. The wines that hail from this single, private vineyard located in the Rutherford AVA are highly allocated and very difficult to find.
But, we’re spies, so we know where to look for the prized wines that we feature. Don’t miss out on this very impressive wine.
