Mission Codename A Higher Bar
Our good buddies at Clif Family Winery gave us access to every last bottle of their exciting, fresh, floral Clif Family Winery 2014 Mendocino Gewurztraminer.
This 91 point (Wine Enthusiast Magazine) wine is sweet and floral on the nose, delicious and mineral rich on the palate. This juxtaposition makes for an exciting, food friendly treat that we adore.
A sweet, fresh floral bouquet leaps from the glass, encouraging a deep inhalation. Aromas of Honeysuckle, acacia flower, ripe yellow peach, fresh apricot, pink grapefruit, and subtle white spice.
Flavors deliver an intriguing juxtaposition to the floral nose. Where the nose is sweet and floral, the palate delivers Citrus torte, dried white flowers, slate mineral, lime leaf, dried apricot and white pepper.
Quantity is limited, so we encourage you to grab some while you still can…

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
91 points - Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast - “This extroverted dry wine has big rose-petal and honeysuckle aromas. Powerful floral and grapefruit flavors flood the palate and linger long on the finish. It’s full bodied and very concentrated, with a mouth-filling viscosity that leaves a lasting impression.”
