Our longstanding (10 years now!) relationships with our winery partners gives us special access to deals like today’s bright and balanced Kukeri Wines 2015 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. This wine scored a hefty 94 points while also stealing the hearts of our tasting panel.
Aromas of spice and red fruit jump from the glass. Bing cherry, raspberry, dried rose, summer forest, mixed spice, vanilla, chocolate, red currant, pomegranate and a subtle hint of cured beef.
Juicy and delicious, with flavors of cherry cobbler, cranberry, raspberry preserve, summer forest, baking spice, twigs, pomegranate, subtle white pepper and toasty oak.
This wine is a steal, so you may just want to stock up…
Cheers!
Here’s what the wine press has to say:
94 pts - Alex Casella, WSET Advanced - “Cranberry purple color meets a near-Burgundian nose. Beautiful high-toned red and blue fruits show up imminently with nuances of pomegranate tea, Asian spices, driftwood, blood orange, vanilla and scented acacia flowers. The palate is packed with red fruits and spice, with a very refined salinity up in the front palate which leads to a nice silky mouthfeel with a long persistent finish. This is an incredible value from a superb vintage that will drink well for the next few years. Drink now or cellar for the next 3-7 years.”
