Mission Codename Mister Impressive
Today’s brilliant 93 point (Robert Parker) wine was made by the emerging master of California Pinot Noir, Jeff Pisoni. Jeff is the son of Pinot king, Gary Pisoni.
Today’s wine has the sort of impressive richness that one doesn’t usually find in a Sonoma Coast, making this Pinot a must-try wine that’ll impress all who drink it.
Very aromatic, with lofty aromas of black cherry, blackberry preserve, raspberry, bramble bush, summer forest, cherry cordial, dried violet, savory herb and subtle mixed spice.
Rich and deeply extracted with bold flavors of stewed blackberry, blueberry and strawberry up front, followed by spice, chocolate covered cherry, summer forest floor, dried wild mushroom, mixed dark spice, subtle savory herb and dried violets.
Winemaker Jeff Pisoni is a third generation winemaker which, in America, is about as many generations as you can find in a winemaking family. His lifetime of experience is apparent in today’s impressive and truly delicious Pinot.
We guarantee that you’ll love it!

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 Points - Wine Advocate, Robert Parker - “The 2012 Pinot Noir Fort Ross Vineyard has notes of black raspberries, kirsch, baking spices, subtle earth and a hint of gravel-like minerality. The wine has terrific fruit on the attack and mid-palate, medium to full body, and a long finish. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade. Drink 2016-2026”

★★★★ - Restaurant Wine These are refined, elegant Pinots. The standard bottling is rich and ripely flavored; a full bodied, complex, lightly tannic wine, with good balance, and a firm, long finish. In aroma/flavor, it tastes of cherry, raspberry, plum jam, juniper, toast, nutmeg, and cooked beef.
