This wine is very aromatic on the nose, with scents of fresh white peach, apricot, white rose, vanilla, lemon curd, lemon, creamed honey and flinty mineral. It is delicious right out of the chiller too, and even better as it warms.
This wine shows off a palate full of Meyer lemon, lemon curd, lemongrass, dried white flower, vanilla, slate mineral and subtle spice.
This wine was made by Garrett Ahnfeldt, whose family has been in the wine business since the early 80s. Garrett grew up in wine and in 2002 started his own vineyard management company. There, he worked with some of Napa Valley’s most revered winemakers and wineries.
Now Garrett is making wines for Hailstone and for his own G Wine Cellars. His focus at both wineries is on starting with the best fruit and treating it with the utmost love and care, from vineyard to bottles.
