Balanced and fresh on the nose, with aromas of black cherry, dried wild mushroom, cedar plank, red currant, cranberry, raspberry, subtle spice and vanilla.
A velvety smooth entry transports fruit, earth and subtle spice flavors to the far reaches of the palate, with strawberry juice, raspberry, red currant, cranberry, cedar, vanilla, wild mushroom, summer forest floor, briar patch, and subtle spice.
McEvoy’s winemaking team consists of the incredibly talented duo of Dr. Maurizio Castelli and Blake Yarger. Dr. Castelli is pioneer who helped to create such renowned wines as Col d’Orcia’s Poggio al Vento Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Mastrojanni’s Brunello Schiena d’asino and Poderi Boscarelli’s Vino Nobile.
Castelli has more than 40 years of experience in winemaking and consulting all over the world, including at the famed Badia a Coltibuono in Tuscany. Blake Yarger has spent the last seven years at McEvoy, overseeing wine production there in collaboration with Dr. Castelli.
Today’s wine is one of the finest Pinots we’ve shown in a long time, we offer it to you today with our heartiest recommendation.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
92 points - Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast - “An excellent medium-bodied wine from an estate better known for its olives, this is dark in color but with a lighter, tawny rim. The complex aromas combine sweet baking spices with ample cherry and berry notes. Flavors kick in with juicy strawberry, dark cherry and subtle shadings of nutmeg and wood smoke. The texture is plush and almost soft, and the taste is warmly luxurious.”
