Dense and concentrated on the palate, with rich plum jam, blackberry juice, black cherry compote, cassis, molasses, creme brulee, grilled raisin and a hint of sweet spice.
We’ve been featuring the wines of Ty Caton since 2008. We return to Ty again and again, because his wines are so darn good. We are thrilled to offer you today’s wine with our highest recommendation.
Dark maroon hues, with light ruby edging. Wine settles quickly in the glass after swirling, giving the wine a weighty appearance.
Cassis, blackberry jam, tobacco leaf, baker’s chocolate, sweet spice, cigar box and toasty oak.
Plum jam, blackberry juice, black cherry compote, cassis, molasses, creme brulee, grilled raisin and a hint of sweet spice.
Plump and round, then softly grippy with a crushed velvet feel that appears after the long, descending fruit finish.
Enjoy this rich wine with saucy spare ribs or a nice rare filet mignon.
