Mission Codename 23 Barrels
Today’s wine was made by Kevin Holt, the former head of winemaking for MacRostie, Quivira, Artesa and many other famous wineries. Beltane made one of our best selling wines of last year and we’re thrilled to welcome them back with this budget-priced steal of a wine.
Just 23 barrels of today’s Beltane Ranch 2014 “Drummond Block” Sonoma Valley Sauvignon Blanc were ever made, making this your only opportunity to get ahold of this very special wine.
On the palate, this wine is fresh and light, with fresh lemon, lime flower, lime leaf, apricot, white peach, honeysuckle flower and the subtlest hint of white spice.
Juicy and delicious on the palate, with flavors of Meyer lemon, apricot, yellow peach, Asian pear, creamed honey and a hint of delicate white spice.
Beltane Ranch has been making sustainably farmed Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel in the Sonoma Valley since 2010, on the ranch that Rosemary Wood and her family purchased in 1970. They are the recipient of the North Bay Sustainability Award and 100% of their winegrowing and winemaking is certified sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance.
This food-friendly, front porch sipper, backyard party, elegant dinner party (all of those and more!) wine is very highly recommended.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
MaryAnn Worobiec, Wine Spectator - “An appealing mix of grapefruit, yellow apple apricot and lemon flavors. Bright and fresh, with dried floral details. Balances a smooth texture with a juicy finish. Drink now.”
