Low Quantity Alert: Only 56 cases of this wine were made - and we have every single one.

Because Deerfield is one of our most popular wineries, we recommend that you visit soon and pick up as much of this wine as you can. Once it is gone, we will never see it again!

Today is one lucky day, dear Operative! We are the only wine merchant on the planet to have today’s very special wine. Made at Deerfield by Deerfield, today’s “Pacific Chateau” 2008 Barrel Select Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that never saw the light of day… until now!

Deerfield made this special wine for [REDACTED], as a special project, but the wine never saw the light of day because [REDACTED] (we could tell you, but… you know) and that created a special opportunity for us to bring you the wine - at a very special price.

This is one of the most high-end wines that I have ever tasted from Deerfield, and certainly the one with the highest starting retail price. This wine is so fantastic that even at the $85 retail price, it delivers real value.

At our special Operatives-only price, you are essentially stealing this wine.

Serious, bold and layered on the nose, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry preserve, grilled plum, tobacco leaf, spice box, dusty cocoa, cassis and cracked pepper.

Concentrated and darkly juicy on the palate, with blackberry juice, black cherry juice, grilled mission fig, cassis, black licorice, mixed dark spice, cigar box, graphite, darkly toasted oak, black pepper, graphite and a very subtle hint of copper penny.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity.

Tasting Profile

Look:

Dark and inky, with deep garnet edges and a nearly black heart.

Smell:

Black cherry, blackberry preserve, grilled plum, tobacco leaf, spice box, dusty cocoa, cassis and cracked pepper.

Taste:

Blackberry juice, black cherry juice, grilled mission fig, cassis, black licorice, mixed dark spice, cigar box, graphite, darkly toasted oak, black pepper, graphite and a very subtle hint of copper penny.

Finish:

Endless, with flavors that never seem to subside. Plush and softly drying as plush tannins work their magic at the edges of the palate.

Pairing:

This is a big, bold wine that would be perfect with a thick grilled steak. We’ll enjoy our bottle with a huge Porterhouse, grilled over the campfire, or a juicy filet Mignon.
