Mission Codename Bank shot

Today’s exclusive Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards 2010 Right Bank Red Wine is a trip back in time… to another realm, where the best Napa vintage in a decade (the 2010 vintage earned a 99 point scorefrom Wine Spectator) meets France’s Right Bank in a delicious blend that’ll knock your socks off!

Winemaker Robert Hunt shows off his considerable skills with today’s beautifully hewn wine. Robert currently holds a post at Clos Pegase Winery and has worked in wine production at Pine Ridge Vineyards, Colgin Cellars, Ovid Vineyards and others.

Today’s wine is strikingly fragrant, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, spiced cherry candy, sandalwood, hard leather, blackberry tobacco leaf, spice box, and peppercorn.

Bold and delicious on the palate, with blackberry compote, black cherry juice, hard leather, dark mineral, tobacco leaf, spice box, grilled fennel, and black pepper.

This wine is a balanced beauty, with plenty of California fruit that plays seductively off of the St.-Emilion/Pomerol stylings that the winery is so famous for.

Remember, this wine hails from the 2010 Napa vintage, which Wine Spectator Magazine’s Editor in Chief, James Laube awarded a decade-high 99 points. Napa wines from this vintage are becoming increasingly rare, so we hope that you’ll take advantage of this very special offer.

Drinking beautifully now. Should have plenty of years left in it.

Cheers!

Here’s what the wine press has to say:

92 points - Vinous / Antonio Galloni - “The 2010 Right Bank is a pretty wine laced with small red fruits, flowers, licorice and spices. It shows lovely detail and finesse in a translucent, mid-weight style that is quite appealing. This lithe, elegant red impresses for its length and balance. In 2010 the blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.”

91 points - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate - “This estate has excelled with its Right Bank blend, a St.-Emilion look-alike, since it was first introduced. The 2010 Right Bank, a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, offers attractive, complex aromas of tobacco leaf, licorice, spice box, black currants and cherries. Medium to full-bodied, opulent and fleshy, this winner is ideal for drinking over the next 10-15 years.”
