Mission Codename Scaramouche
We’re thrilled to have a 3rd successive vintage of Singer Cellars’ delightful, rich, and flavor-packed 2014 “Rhapsody” Napa Valley Red Wine. The 50/50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc makes for a perfect partnership.
With each vintage the wine improves and, this time around, it has been awarded two stellar 95 point scores!
Highly layered and perfumed on the nose, with bold aromas of spiced black cherry candy, chocolate covered cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, grilled plum, cardamom, dried blueberry, red currant, spice box and subtle pink peppercorn.
Really striking on the palate, this wine has bold, layered flavors that morph and change as you enjoy it. Grilled black cherry, blackberry preserve, dried blueberry, baker’s chocolate and spiced cherry are the first to present. Then, as the wine settles onto the palate, flavors of stewed cherry, dried bacon, dried cranberry, spice box, tobacco leaf, leather and cracked pepper emerge.
What do you get when you blend two of red wine’s most food friendly Bordeaux varietals… with fruit from the Napa Valley… made by a multi-award winning winemaker who cut his teeth at Keller Estate Winery? You get today’s truly delicious Singer Cellars 2014 The Rhapsody Red Blend… big aromatics and stunningly good flavors!
Highly recommended.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
95 points - “Sommelier to the Stars” Christopher Sawyer - “As a devoted fan of Cheval Blanc and other elite wines from the famous Right Bank of the Bordeaux region in France, winemaker Barry Singer has a passion for working with premium Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in Napa Valley. For this reason, the new 2014 Rhapsody Red Wine is a blend of equal parts of both of these specialty varietals.
With an attractive crimson red hue, the wine opens up with fragrant aromas of bright red fruits, leather, sage, and allspice. In the glass, the dazzling notes of ripe plum, cherry, blueberry, and cassis are further lifted with lovely accents of cocoa, clove, cardamom and forest floor, balanced tannins, and a long, engaging finish.”

95 points - Gold Medal - 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition - “Fruit-forward, smooth and balanced. Singer Cellars wines are Bordeaux varietals and blends produced from Napa Valley grapes.”
