2015 "Reale' Napa" Reserve Proprietary Red
California: Napa Valley
Today’s Grand Napa Wine 2015 “Reale’ Napa” Reserve Proprietary Red has a juicy secret…. that we cannot even tell you. What is the nature of the secret, you ask?
The grapes for this wonderful blend are from a very famous and very exclusive vineyard source. Sadly, we’ve been sworn to secrecy. Just know that in today’s wine you are getting a wine that should be selling for nearly $100 per bottle.
Super lush on the nose, with aromas of black cherry, cherry bark, chocolate covered cherry, dried herbs, plum, blackberry, soft spice and dried earth.
Dark and juicy, with flavors of raspberry preserve, strawberry reduction, blackberry jam, black cherry juice, spice box, subtle tobacco leaf, dried fall leaves and black pepper.
Winemaker Dwight Bonewell has his hands in nearly every step of the winemaking process at Grand Napa, from working with vineyard managers year round and selecting the best barrels, to winemaking (of course!), bottling, and beyond. This prolific winemaker keeps an eye on all phases of the winemaking process, shepherding wines all the way through.
This sort of care is apparent in his wines, which are well loved by our Operatives - and all of us here at Wine Spies HQ.
This wine is drinking well now, but with a little more bottle aging will shine - for years to come. Very highly recommended!
Pretty dark ruby hues, from the edge of the wine right through to the darkening core.
Black cherry, cherry bark, chocolate covered cherry, dried herbs, plum, blackberry, soft spice and dried earth.
Raspberry preserve, strawberry reduction, blackberry jam, black cherry juice, spice box, subtle tobacco leaf, dried fall leaves and black pepper.
Long and juicy, with fruit flavors that persist as medium plush tannings give the wine a softly grippy and gradually drying feeling.
Enjoy this one with beef kabobs loaded with veggies, pineapple and your favorite cut of beef or chicken.
